Who Is This Program For?

This program is for individuals at risk of type 2 diabetes who want to take control of their health through personalized nutrition and lifestyle changes. If you’ve been diagnosed with prediabetes, have a family history of diabetes, or struggle with conditions like high blood pressure, cholesterol, or weight management, this program is built to address your unique needs and guide you toward better health.

Research shows that CDC-recognized lifestyle change program participants who lost 5-7% of their body weight and added 150 minutes of exercise per week cut their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by up to 58% (71% for people over 60 years old).

Even a decade later, program participants were one-third less likely to develop type 2 diabetes than individuals who did not join a program.

FAQ

The program begins on February 4th and is a 12 month program. We meet every week for the first 6 months, and then we meet less frequently for the next 6 months.

We meet every Tuesday for the first 6 months. After 6 months, we will begin meeting less frequently. 

We meet on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 for one hour.  

Classes will be held in room 107 at 600 N 6th St, Greybull, WY 82426.

This program is led by a team of registered dietitians, nurses and certified lifestyle coaches. With guest instructors of personal trainers and chefs.

This class is not offered virtually at this time, however we are working towards a virtual solution. If you are interested in attending this course online, let us know here.

Participants do not have to attend every meeting, however you are expected to attend a minimum of 10 sessions in the first 6 months and 5 sessions in the last 6 months.

Make up sessions will be provided on a case by case basis.
